The Industrial Planning Concentration program was introduced under the scope of the Industrial Engineering and Management dual program in order to meet the demand from high school graduates wishing to follow a career in production/operation, marketing, finance and human resources, with the aim of achieving becoming general managers.
The combination of two disciplines - Industrial Engineering and Management – provides students with a thorough grounding in business models and management systems which enables graduates to meet the demands of the market.
General Objective
The overall objective of the Industrial Engineering and Management dual study program is to provide students with the opportunity to study a high-quality course and to improve their ability, performance, and work ethic, and thus prepare them for the job market.
Specific Objective
The specific objective is to produce graduates who have a comprehensive and multidiscipline knowledge and who are able to solve the problems and challenges of industry.
The Industrial Engineering and Management double program will provide students with competences in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Economics
- Strategic planning in Industry
The curriculum for the Industrial Engineering and Management double program includes elements from the National Curriculum of Tertiary Educational Institutions and local material for the Industrial Planning component. It is thus not only a combination of two study programs but it also has special elements not available in individual programs.
Core Group
The Management and Industrial Engineering curriculum aims at a mastery of the following scientific fields: mathematics, physics, humanities / social sciences, e-business, international business, entrepreneurship, computer science and management, general engineering sciences, lab sciences, professional engineering practice, and industrial engineering specialization.
